🕯️ Prologue – Smoke and Scepter (4 min)
In the city of Rendhall, rebel banners rise above scorched rooftops. The crowd chants Alaric’s name as a hooded figure stands triumphant on a bloodied battlement. But Lysara watches from the shadows, dread in her veins. “That’s not him,” she whispers.
🎭 Act I – The False Flame (9 min)
The impostor, Alaric's doppelgänger, commands with chilling eloquence. He preaches vengeance, domination, and divine right. Under his command, rebels raze dissenting towns and execute captured Dominion loyalists without trial.
Old allies begin to doubt. Captain Thorn deserts. Seyren demands answers, and when none come, vanishes into the north. The rebellion fractures, and yet, it grows stronger.
🌫️ Act II – Ash Hunt (10 min)
The true Alaric, wounded from past battles, rides through the Blackened Steppe, following trails of ruin. Each village bears the same tale: Alaric came, and fire followed. His voice was cold. His eyes, empty.
In one ruin, a girl hands him a sketch drawn in charcoal. It’s him, scar for scar, but grinning in cruelty. Alaric clenches Solrend. “Not me. Not ever.”
🪞 Act III – Mirror of Flesh (12 min)
Deep within the Shatterhall Fortress, Alaric confronts his twin. They circle each other, identical in every way. The doppelgänger speaks:
“I am what you would be, if you let the rage bloom.”
Alaric shouts, “You wear my face, but know nothing of my burden!”
“I am your burden,” the false one says. “Born of guilt. Forged by betrayal.”
Their blades clash. The room trembles. Each strike echoes with shared memory, Garran’s death, Lysara’s near fall, the burning of Vaelor.
🩸 Act IV – Echo of the Flame (8 min)
Alaric’s fury grows, but Lysara’s voice reaches him. “Don’t give it power. You are more than pain.” He hesitates, and in that moment, he wounds the doppelgänger mortally.
The false one laughs as blood pours from his mouth:
“You’ll become me. You already have.”
He dies smiling.
🔥 Final Montage (4 min)
- Word spreads that Alaric slew a traitor pretending to be him, but the damage remains.
- Villages that followed the false Alaric now shun the name entirely.
- Alaric carves a new symbol into Solrend’s hilt, a slash through his own crest.
- In a dream, the Void King whispers: “Even truth can be a lie in time.”
