⚰️ Prologue – A Funeral of Fire (4 min)
Beneath the blackened sky of Vel Serin, bells toll a mournful dirge. Queen Ariva’s heir, Prince Coren, lies in a pyre of golden cedar, his throat slit during a masquerade hunt. The kingdom wails, and a voice rises above the din: “The rebels did this.”
Flames consume the boy-king’s body. Ravens scatter. And behind a veil, a hooded figure watches… smiling.
🔥 Act I – A Kingdom Shattered (8 min)
Riots erupt in southern cities. The Dominion’s whispers fan the chaos into full-blown war. Queen Ariva is gone, her court puppeted anew. Now, Lord Vaelros, once slain in the First Collapse, marches into the capital from the ruins of Blackmoor Hold.
Clad in dragonbone armor and bearing ancient writs, he proclaims:
“The South belongs to me. By right. By blood. And I name the rebels regicidal.”
Alaric pleads with the rebellion’s high circle to let him go. “If I ride to Vaelros, perhaps war can be stalled.” Lysara hesitates. “This is a trap dressed as peace.”
But Alaric leaves under darkness, choosing duty over fear.
🩸 Act II – The Chain Pit (8 min)
Alaric never reaches Vaelros’ keep. Ambushed by crimson-cloaked riders in the Iron Velds, he is dragged unconscious into a hidden stronghold, the Chain Pit, where rebels are turned to puppets.
For days, Alaric is bound, eyes blindfolded, subjected to mind-rending sigils and the whispers of a blood-sorcerer known only as The Extractor.
“What do you dream of when the light dies, knight?” the Extractor hisses. “Tell me of Lysara. Tell me her flame.”
But Alaric resists, biting down until blood fills his mouth. Visions claw at his mind, Silen’s fall, the Ninth Vault, the child with silver eyes.
🔥 Act III – Ash and Fury (7 min)
On the fourth night, the fortress shudders. Screams echo through stone corridors. Then, fire, raging and alive. The stone melts. The chains snap.
Lysara bursts into the chamber, eyes aflame, crown of heat swirling above her. “You don’t get to break him,” she snarls. With a sweep of her hand, the Extractor erupts in blue fire.
She pulls Alaric from the pyre-slab, his body broken but soul intact. “I came as flame,” she whispers. “Let them burn.”
🛡️ Act IV – Flight Through the War-Torn Vale (8 min)
The pair flee on a phantom steed conjured by Lysara’s emberstone. Behind them, the Chain Pit implodes in fire. Rebel scouts signal their return, but the world has changed in their absence.
Across the South, war banners rise. Rebel leaders are executed in city squares, others vanish without trace. Alaric, battered and haunted, begins to suspect the truth: this collapse was planned.
“Someone fed the Dominion our movements. Someone among us.” Lysara nods grimly. “And it cost us the realm.”
🧊 Act V – Shadows Within the Circle (6 min)
Back at the hidden camp, the rebel council is divided, fearful, and angry. Alaric confronts Lord Braeven, whose garrisons had pulled away days before the ambush. “Coincidence?” Alaric growls. “Or calculation?”
Braeven deflects. Seyren warns: “If we tear ourselves apart now, we finish the Dominion’s work.”
Lysara steps forward, flames licking her shoulders. “No more secrets,” she says. “We will find the traitor. And we will burn the truth into stone.”
🎵 Final Montage (4 min)
- Lord Vaelros is crowned with a horned crown, smiling in the ruins of Vel Serin.
- A rebel message courier is found dead, tongue replaced by an obsidian coin.
- The Flamecrown flickers as Lysara stares into the fire, whispering names in doubt.
- Alaric carves Silen’s name onto his blade. “No more martyrs,” he swears.
📜 End Credits – Episode 9: Crown of Vengeance
Peace was a lie. Betrayal wears familiar faces. And the fire of rebellion now burns on uncertain winds. As Alaric heals and Lysara’s powers grow, both know the worst wound is not death, it is doubt.
The Shadow of Eldros: Blades of the Void continues.
