❄️ Prologue – Wind Over the Teeth (3 min)

A blizzard howls across the jagged white spires of the Vale of Teeth, mountains so high they bite the clouds. On a lone peak, a figure in silver mail prays silently beside a frozen altar. Her lips are blue; her hands grip a blade carved from living ice.

She opens her eyes, pale, glowing faintly, and whispers: “Let the trial begin.”

Far below, Alaric and his companions ascend the glacier path, unaware they are already being watched.

🏔️ Act I – The Gate of Silence (7 min)

Alaric, Lysara, and Seyren approach a vast stone gateway embedded in ice, a relic of the Northward Watch, once used by exiled Wardens. There are no guards, only wind and runes that burn cold blue.

A voice without source speaks: “One may pass in truth. One may pass in pain. One may pass in sacrifice.”

The gate does not open. Instead, a crack forms in the mountain behind them, revealing three separate paths, one for each.

“We’re to face this alone,” says Seyren. “A trial. Northward style.”

🧊 Act II – Alaric’s Trial (7 min)

Alaric enters a frozen hall of broken statues, past Wardens, commanders, friends. They speak only in memory. One statue, of his father, moves.

Father: “You walked from flame to shadow, and still you kneel before ghosts. Are you ready to burn the name Vayne?”

Alaric grips Solrend and says nothing. The ice cracks. His father charges. They duel, echoes clashing, each strike sending shards flying.

Alaric disarms him. “You were my beginning. But not my end.” The statue shatters, and the hall melts to mist.

🔥 Act III – Lysara’s Trial (7 min)

Lysara enters a twilight grove filled with glass trees. A girl walks among them, young Lysara, before the flames took her kin.

“If you hadn’t burned them, would they still love you?” the child asks. Flame begins to spread from her fingers, consuming the grove.

“You are the fire,” the child says. “But are you the spark… or the pyre?”

Lysara lets the flame burn freely, not to destroy, but to illuminate. The grove fades, revealing a silver path forward.

🔮 Act IV – Seyren’s Trial (6 min)

Seyren stands in a library of shifting scrolls, none with names, only blank ink and vanishing words. A cloaked figure appears, face hidden. “You have always been a witness. Never a will.”

The figure offers a book with Seyren’s name. “Write your fate. Or live as footnote.”

Seyren opens the book, and finds it full. His own memories, each choice recorded. He adds a single word to the last page: “Still.”

The library crumbles. He stands on the glacier again, snow on his shoulders, eyes clear.

🛡️ Act V – The Frostwarden (7 min)

Atop the trial peak, they reunite, breathless. A figure awaits them: Frostwarden Elira, sworn judge of the Northern Trial.

“Few pass,” she says, unsheathing her blade of ice. “None pass together.”

A duel begins, not to kill, but to test. Each must hold their own against her. Alaric’s Solrend sears through the cold; Lysara uses controlled bursts of flame to disrupt her step; Seyren binds her shadow to slow her breath.

In unison, they bring her to her knees. She smiles. “You are worthy.” She parts her cloak, revealing a map burned into her skin. “To the Cradle of Ash, you must go. But first… the blade must choose again.”

🎵 Final Montage (4 min)

  • High above Eldros, a tear opens in the sky, something pushes against the veil from beyond.
  • In the Citadel of Crows, assassins kneel as their orders are changed: “Bring me the girl. The knight can die.”
  • Lysara watches the frost melt on her fingertips. “The flame can be tempered.”
  • Alaric looks toward the Cradle. “We’ve passed the test. Now we walk into war.”

📜 End Credits – Episode 3: Trial of the North

The North has judged them. Together, they are stronger, but so are the shadows they face. From the Cradle of Ash to the Gate Beyond, the road grows colder, sharper, and more unforgiving.

The Shadow of Eldros: Blades of the Void continues.
