🩸 Prologue – The Blood Ledger (3 min)
In a vaulted chamber beneath the Citadel of Crows, parchment crackles as a bounty is inscribed in blood. A hooded scribe writes with a quill made from a severed raven’s feather. The parchment bears the seal of House Vayne.
“Ser Alaric Vayne. Traitor. Heretic. Flamebound. Dead or alive, preferably broken.”
A bounty of ten thousand ashmarks echoes across taverns, temples, and underworld dens. In the distance, a shadowed voice rasps: “Let the Blades of the Void be unleashed.”
🏙️ Act I – City of Knives (7 min)
Alaric, disguised beneath a crimson hood, enters the city of Duskwatch, a place where no law holds sway and coin decides justice. With Lysara and Seyren keeping to the shadows, he seeks an old contact: Myrren Vell, a smuggler with ties to the old Wardens.
Duskwatch is a city of narrow bridges, sky-markets, and blade-dancers. News of Alaric’s bounty travels quickly. He notices eyes on him: the Veil Blades, bounty hunters who serve no crown.
At a tavern called the Hollow Lamp, Myrren appears.
Myrren: “You’ve got a walking deathmark, knight. And I’ve got debts. Speak quick.”
Alaric explains he’s not here to hide, but to find something beneath Duskwatch: the Vault of Sundered Oaths.
🗡️ Act II – Blades Drawn (8 min)
That night, the bounty is claimed. Alaric is ambushed in the Hollow Lamp by two Veil Blades, Karrek the Butcher and Lune Vale. The duel is brutal, chaotic, tables upended, daggers flashing through smoke.
Lune uses voidsteel blades, which nullify magical auras. Alaric’s fire falters. Solrend flickers dimly.
Lysara intervenes with a phoenix-ward sigil, igniting the tavern’s rafters in blue flame. Seyren cloaks them in shadow and pulls them into a sewer grate just before the city guard arrives.
As they flee through the sewers, Seyren remarks: “This city’s not just hunting you. It’s feeding off you.”
🏰 Act III – The Vault Below (6 min)
Beneath Duskwatch, the group discovers a sealed gate of broken oathstone. Myrren mutters a forgotten phrase: “By the blood of betrayal, open.”
The gate groans open, revealing the Vault of Sundered Oaths, a tomb of relics cast aside by fallen knights. Weapons hum with regret. A hollow voice echoes: “Do you seek absolution, or power?”
Alaric approaches a shattered mirror altar, where a black blade floats, Noctharis, forged by his ancestor to end the Warden Wars. He hesitates, but the blade bonds to him, drawn not by blood, but by sorrow.
🎠Act IV – The Masked Betrayer (6 min)
Myrren betrays them. He reveals a black dagger, a marker given by the House Vayne Regent to informants. “You’re worth more dead than loyal,” he says.
Alaric is wounded, driven to his knees. Myrren strikes, but the echo of Noctharis sings through the Vault. Spectral figures of past traitors surround him, dragging Myrren into the mirror altar.
The Vault seals behind them. Seyren remarks: “That blade didn’t just choose you. It’s binding you.”
Alaric sheathes Noctharis, its hilt cold to the touch. “Then it’ll learn to bleed with me.”
🕳️ Act V – Ash Between Blades (7 min)
Outside, the city is in uproar. The bounty has risen to fifteen thousand ashmarks. The trio escapes through smoke-filled alleys. Veil Blades surround them on rooftops.
A mysterious figure intervenes, a veiled assassin in white called Sarael, who claims she was once a Warden Seeker. She slays the Blades with precision, then throws a scroll to Alaric: “You’re not just a target. You’re a prophecy.”
She vanishes into mist.
The scroll reveals a fragment of an old verse: “When fire walks with shadow, the blades of the void shall turn.”
🌌 Final Montage (4 min)
- In a far-off temple, the Regent of House Vayne prepares a ritual over a scrying pool, muttering, “Let him run. We only need his fall.”
- Seyren pins the verse to a map marked with sigils of the Old Flame. “It leads north… toward the Vale of Teeth.”
- Alaric sharpens both Solrend and Noctharis. “One burns. One devours. Both are mine now.”
- Lysara stares into her own flame, which reflects an image of a woman in a golden crown, herself, older, crowned in ash.
📜 End Credits – Episode 1: Price on His Head
The bounty is real. The hunters are relentless. But Alaric no longer runs. With flame and voidbound steel, he steps into prophecy, and all of Eldros holds its breath.
